- The Idiom
The Chinese idiom, preferably Simplified Characters. One may also search for idioms containing certain characters here.
The Pinyin
The Pinyin for the idiom. The Pinyin is displayed in the numerical style. I personally find this method to be helpful, as I can more readily associate a number with a sound than the funny signs. Future modifications of this database may include an option to select methods of Pinyin display.
The English Definition
The definition of the idiom, in English.
- Period the idiom came into being, the literature and author, if applicable. Not present in all idioms
- A Chinese sentence containing the idiom. Not present in all idioms
- Keywords
Keywords related to this idiom. These should be separated by a single white space.
